It is necessary to enhance the barrier performance of cutoff walls in order to improve the contamination control level, especially for reconstruction or expansion of existing landfill sites. This paper presents a comprehensive laboratory investigation on the synergistic effects of microorganisms and fibers on the hydraulic conductivity of silty sand to evaluate the applicability to the field condition as an alterative barrier material. Inside the soil, the added carbon fibers not only provided good biocompatibility, but also formed spatial three-dimensional network between soil particles to improve the bacterial adhesion that eventually caused 2–3 orders of magnitude decrease in soil permeability. The resistance of the biofilm to extreme conditions was tested by permeation with solutions of different salinity and pH values, and by subjecting specimens to various hydraulic gradients and soil conditions. Despite the microbial growth inhibition occurred at these conditions, however, biofilm can largely remain intact and continue to reduce k, which due to the gradual adaptation of microorganisms to the extreme environment and the gradual recovery of their activity. Results of these tests demonstrate that biofilm treatment may be a feasible technology for creating waste containment barriers in soil. 相似文献

Food additives, often used to guarantee the texture, shelf-life, taste, and appearance of processed foods, have gained widespread attention due to their increased link to the growing incidence of chronic diseases. As one of the most common additives, carrageenans have been used in human diets for hundreds of years. While classified as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for human consumption, numerous studies since the 1980s have suggested that carrageenans, particularly those with random coil conformations, may have adverse effects on gastrointestinal health, including aggravating intestinal inflammation. While these studies have provided some evidence of adverse effects, the topic is still controversial. Some have suggested that the negative consequence of the consumption of carrageenans may be structure dependent. Furthermore, pre-existing conditions may predispose individuals to varied outcomes of carrageenan intake. In this review, structure–function relationships of various carrageenans in the context of food safety are discussed. We reviewed the molecular mechanisms by which carrageenans exert their biological effects. We summarized the findings associated with carrageenan intake in animal models and clinical trials. Moreover, we examined the interactions between carrageenans and the gut microbiome in the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal disorders. This review argues for personalized guidance on carrageenan intake based on individuals’ health status. Future research efforts that aim to close the knowledge gap on the effect of low-dose and chronic carrageenan intake as well as interactions among food additives should be conducive to the improved safety profile of carrageenans in processed food products. 相似文献

In this article, based on partial differential equations (PDEs), the flexible manipulator system with both dead-zone input and state constraints is studied. The dynamic model of the flexible manipulator system is described by PDEs. The parameters of the dead-zone input are unknown, and the state constraint problem is also considered. An adaptive approach is proposed to offset the effects caused by dead-zone input. Thus, to guarantee that all states remain within their respective constraint regions, the boundary control law based on the barrier Lyapunov function is given, and an adaptive controller is designed. According to the Lyapunov analysis method, the control method is given to ensure that all signals of the closed-loop system are bounded and all states satisfy the constraint conditions. 利用改进的索氏提取回流法测量碳纤维原丝含油率.研究了溶剂回流温度、回流时间、环境湿度对测试结果的影响,结果表明:随着回流温度的提高,2小时内回流清洗效果不断增强,当回流温度大于54℃,次数大于12次,油剂清洗效果基本保持不变.可通过提高回流温度以提高单位时间内的回流次数,优化纤维含油率测试的准确性和测试效率.环境湿度对索氏提取测纤维含油率有显著影响:控制环境湿度在50~52%RH范围内,可将纤维吸潮质量变化控制在纤维质量的0.005%,油剂相对含量的0.2%~0.6%,可将测试稳定差值降低至≤0.05%,测试方法差值<0.1%,满足油剂测试工艺要求.回流时间≥2 h,回流温度≥54℃,测试环境湿度50~52%RH,索氏提取回流法油剂测试误差<0.05%. 相似文献

To enhance the tribocorrosion properties of chemically bonded phosphate ceramic coating (CBPCC), GO-ZnO was prepared and added into CBPCC. And the tribocorrosion behaviour of CBPCC was investigated. Results show that, with the introduction of GO-ZnO, the open circuit potential of CBPCC shifts in a positive direction and corrosion current density decreases. In addition, the total material loss, the total mechanical wear loss and the total electrochemical corrosion loss of CBPCC all decrease with the increase of GO-ZnO. The wear track of CBPCC after tribocorrosion without GO-ZnO is rough and porous, while the wear track becomes smooth and dense with the incorporation of GO-ZnO. The material in wear track is anchored by GO-ZnO due to the strong bond between GO-ZnO and CBPCC, which decreases the wear loss. Because of the extra force from the tribocorrosion experiment, the material anchored by GO-ZnO forms to a dense structure which prevents electrolyte diffusion into CBPCC. Moreover, GO-ZnO can block the electrolyte diffusion pathway and make it more tortuous. The resistance to the electrolyte diffusion decreases the corrosion current density and the increased wear loss due to electrochemical corrosion. 相似文献
